Nominate a pediatric hero for our 2017 advocacy award

Announcing the Frank A. Oski Contemporary Pediatrics Children’s Advocacy Award

In 1987, under the guidance of journal founder, Frank Oski, MD, Contemporary Pediatrics initiated the Contemporary Pediatrics Children’s Advocacy Award in recognition of those pediatricians who have made outstanding efforts on behalf of children

Thirty years later, in memory of Dr. Oski’s founding vision, we are relaunching this program to recognize pediatricians making meaningful change in their patients, practices, and communities.

    Who is your hero?

Pediatrics is full of physician leaders and innovators doing inspirational work each day to improve the lives of their patients and their communities. Contemporary Pediatrics wants to take those accomplishments viral to inspire and inform other pediatricians across the United States.

In our January 2018 issue and online at Contemporarypediatrics.com, we will spotlight some of these individuals nominated by our readers and selected by our editorial team and pediatricians on our Editorial Advisory Board.

    Great ideas go viral

Nominations are now open for any pediatrician making meaningful change to improve patient well-being or transforming their community into a healthier place for children. Whether it’s founding a local diaper bank, passionately testifying before a local legislature on an acute children’s need, or spearheading a YouTube literacy program, we want to hear about these outstanding doctors and make their works viral.

    It starts with their story

Please nominate your pediatric child advocacy hero using the form below. Nominations will be accepted through Monday, November 27, 2017. The editorial staff of Contemporary Pediatrics along with our Editorial Advisory Board will review nominations as part of the selection process.

“Whether we are dealing with the old, new, or newer pediatrics, one component must remain constant: The joy of pediatrics.”
